Join us for a tour of AMOCA’s exhibition Making in Between: Indigenous Americans with Exhibitions Manager Pam Aliaga. Go behind the scenes and learn about the traditions, influences, and inspirations that contributed to this exciting exhibition.
Making in Between exhibits works by Mercedes Dorame, Anita Fields, Courtney M. Leonard, and Cannupa Hanska Luger, artists who embrace their heritage and explore boundary-pushing themes of identity, culture, history, and community; the exhibition introduces a breadth of unique narratives from these trailblazing artists and complicates viewers’ expectations of what constitutes contemporary Indigenous art.
Making in Between is on view in Gallery B through November 30, 2025.
