For more than five decades Romanian diplomats have called Murray Hill home in New York City. We are pleased to reaffirm our deep connection to the social and cultural fabric of this vibrant East Side community. Together with the Murray Hill Neighborhood Association and the Permanent Mission of Romania to the United Nations we are co-hosting a special evening to celebrate the beauty and legacy of Murray Hill in honor of the 60th anniversary of the New York City Landmarks Law. The event will unveil the winners of the Artistic Competition organized by the Preservation & Design Committee of the Neighborhood Association. The competition featured a curated collection of paintings and drawings by local residents. Each piece captures the distinctive charm of Murray Hill's fourteen landmarked buildings offering a vivid tribute to the neighborhood's enduring architectural heritage.
Welcome remarks: H.E. Ambassador Cornel Feruță Permanent Representative of Romania to the U.N.
Join us to celebrate the legacy of this historic neighborhood which has more diplomatic addresses than any other in New York City. Meet its artists and advocates and enjoy a festive reception surrounded by art history and the exhilarating spirit of this unique place.
