Join us for the last opening celebration of 2025:6 - 8pm Saturday 29 November
Local artist Natalie Wilkin draws us into her intriguing world in the exhibition 'Moon Pool' which explores the body as a meeting place between the human and non-human world.
Inspired by ancient ritual practices,'Moon Pool' is a space for stillness and resonance – inviting viewers to slow down, feel, and listen for the subtle movements that pulse beneath the surface of things. Photography, sculpture, and film come together as gestures of connection, merging body, wearable forms, and landscape into forms that receive and reflect.
Grounded in elements present in the forest, rocks, and waters of Moorang-Moobar Country, 'Moon Pool' offers a meditation on how we might look to the world anew, alive to the subtle frequencies and unfolding potential around us.
Natalie Wilkin is a multidisciplinary artist living on Moorang-Moobar Country (Bundjalung Country) in the Northern Rivers. She works across photography, film, installation, sculpture, and creating unique wearable sculptures. This unique skill set informs the multifaceted approach she applies to her work which is guided by the natural world.
