About this Event
Exhibition Makers Workshop: Felted Seascapes
Date: Wednesday 11 March
Location: Ngutungka Henley
This beginner-friendly workshop is part of The Makers’ Collective and contributes to the April exhibition “Bloom. When the Water Speaks.”
Participants will learn the basics of wet felting to create a textured, sea-inspired artwork. Using wool fibres, colour, and simple felting techniques, you’ll create a felted wall hanging, finished with driftwood panels ready for display.
Artworks created in this workshop may be included in the April exhibition, after which participants will take their artwork home.
Participants are invited but not required to attend a free Curate & Finish session in the fourth week of the month. This optional session offers time to finish artworks and explore how the exhibition is planned and curated.
There is no pressure to commit - you’re welcome to attend just the workshop, or be involved as much or as little as you like.

The City of Charles Sturt would like to acknowledge the land we occupy today is the traditional lands of the Kaurna people and that we respect their spiritual relationship with their country. We also acknowledge the Kaurna people as the custodians of the greater Adelaide region and that their cultural and heritage beliefs are still as important to the living Kaurna people today.
