About this Event

Join us at the beautiful Prana Voice studios, the new home for workshops by the Empowering and Nurturing, London based Yoga Teacher, Afshan Sheikh.

This is the second in our workshop series. “BREATHE” was a huge success and completely sold out — now we introduce “EXHALE.”

After carrying so much this year, from heavy social media content to our inner jargon, we need to release and exhale what no longer serves us, creating space for our inner voice to come through.

If you want inner clarity, if you want to meet yourself where you are truly at, and if you want to soothe your mental Mind Chatter, then this one is for you.

Expect gentle YOGA movement and poses which are designed to encourage softening and release within the body, accompanied by powerful and cleansing BREATHWORK to begin. We journey into a beautiful piano-assisted meditation with the renowned Tish Chhaya and magical hands-on assist. Head massages will be available during this section and are optional.

The workshop ends with a guided journaling session and closing circle — a huge hit and winning feature of “BREATHE”, now becoming a tradition we continue with every workshop.

All equipment is provided — mats, blocks, and bolsters — so you can simply arrive and immerse yourself.

Info: Exploring the THROAT CHAKRA. Inner Voice. Storing & Releasing Emotions through SOMATIC process and reviewing other modalities which assist this area of the body.

BREATHWORK

Info: We will be exploring "Lions Breath" and other Cleansing Techniques, Left and Right Brain Activation. To increase blood flow and energise us for the Yoga practice. We will be establishing the breathe practices needed through the movement to support us, and regulate us on and off the mats.

HATHA YOGA

Info: SOMATIC MOVEMENT using FORREST YOGA Techniques, opening the neck, shoulders and back. Breathing and Reflecting through gentle poses that are designed to release tension create space for the inner voice to come through.


🕑: 05:10 PM - 05:30 PM
MEDITATION WITH PIANO BY TISH

Info: Guided Meditation, will bring us into the magical energy of hearing our "Inner Voice". This mediation is designed to leave you in a state of total relaxation accompanied by the sound of the live piano. As the tones echo through the space, freeing the mind completely and leading to a sense of DEEP REST through the body.

GUIDED WRITING & CLOSING CIRCLE

Info: This part is for us to "Integrate" the resonance of what has been arising through the practice through Guided journaling. Exploration of giving space to our inner voice.


YOGA

🕑: 04:20 PM - 05:10 PM
HATHA YOGA - SOMATIC MOVEMENT

Info: Focus on opening up and releasing tension around the neck, shoulders and back. Using the support of the bolsters, we will be doing poses which allow for comfort rather than restraint in the upper body.
