As a cornerstone of Cambridge's energy infrastructure for nearly 100 years, Vicinity Energy's Kendall Square facility stands as a testament to the evolution of clean energy innovation. During this 75-minute guided tour, participants will have the opportunity to:
● Explore the historic 1948 yellow brick building and witness its transformation from coal to
clean energy
● Observe the innovative combined heat and power (CHP) system in operation
● Preview the future home of Massachusetts' largest heat pump complex
● Learn about the facility's pioneering eSteamTM technology and biogenic fuel
implementation
● Discover the facility's fascinating connection to NASA's space program and Cambridge's
industrial heritage
