The USS Orleck Museum Crew proudly invites veterans from Jacksonville and the surrounding communities to our inaugural Steel Beach Picnic—a special afternoon dedicated to connection, camaraderie, and continued service.
Join us aboard this iconic naval ship for a relaxed and welcoming gathering featuring hamburgers, hot dogs, refreshments, and guided tours of the USS Orleck. Most importantly, this event offers the opportunity to connect veteran‑to‑veteran with the volunteer crew who preserve and operate this living piece of naval history.
