Evolution of Bollywood’s Dancing Divas is a process that is entirely Indian yet cross-cultural at the same time where Bollywood combined India’s rich texture of classical and folk dances with elements of jazz, hip hop, Arabic, Latin forms, with provocative cabaret and disco-influenced "item numbers" having high energy, newfound boldness, popularizing disco music and fashion.
Most importantly, Bollywood’s "Dancing Divas" are not just dancers; they are storytellers, bringing characters and emotions to life through their expressive movements. All kinds of energetic dance sequences by the dazzling actresses have often been used to advance a plot, convey emotions, and develop characters in a film.
