Tchaikovsky’s immense, sole Piano Trio follows. A wide-ranging and folk-infused musical elegy, it is a notable predecessor to Shostakovich’s trio, and yet it remains one-of-a-kind in its fascinating, masterful construction.Pianist Evgeny Kissin is one of the world’s most in-demand musicians, a master of his craft with an especially storied career spanning 5 decades.
