About this Event
I’d love you to join me for a deeply relaxing evening of sound, where everyone is welcome.
This sound journey is a chance for you to unplug from daily life, to switch off, process life, release, rebalance, or drift off to sleep.
Sometimes the best thing we can do is simply, rest and do nothing. When your body enters a restful state you can trust that it will do exactly what it needs to do.
During this immersive soundbath you’ll sink into a deeply relaxing state and experience the sounds and vibrations of crystal bowls, including deep, less common tones that help with grounding. You’ll also hear the rhythmic beat of the drum, the gentle relaxing sound of koshi wind chimes, the soothing sounds of the sea created by seed chimes and the uplifting high frequency tones of an energy flow chime. All working together harmoniously to help move stuck energy out of the body.
A soundbath uses the vibration and tones of sound to shift the energy within us and help guide the brain from a more active state into a deeper, relaxing brain state, whilst calming our nervous system.
Sound baths may seem like a new concept, but people have been using sound for centuries to relax, heal, and lift their spirit.
There are no expectations, no judgements, no pretences, this is just a peaceful space for you to unwind and receive exactly what you need.
I have spent years studying the 'art of sound' to understand how sound can create harmony or dissonance within us. My soundbaths are intentionally composed of notes and sequences that create harmony and bring a lovely sense of wellbeing and balance.
No prior experience is required for a soundbath and is open to all above the age of 18, all genders and backgrounds.
Venue details: this will be held in the upstairs, Joseph Rank room of the Methodist church. It's super cosy!
PLEASE ARRIVE: 5 mins before to get settled so that you are ready to start prompt at 7pm.
PLEASE BRING: a yoga mat (or something to lie on), a blanket, pillow - basically bring anything that will make you feel comfortable when lying down, you'll relax much easier if you are comfortable! If it's a quilt and fluffy socks, bring them! :-)
Please also bring some water if you think you may get thirsty.
About me:
I’m a friendly introvert who naturally enjoys nurturing others. Helping someone move from a place of tension to a place of ease and upliftment is the greatest gift I could ask for.
I attended my first sound bath in 2019 and left feeling amazing, so amazing that I knew sound journeys had to become a part of my life. 7 years on and 3 training certifications later, I’ve dedicated myself to understanding how notes and frequencies can be blended to create harmony or dissonance in the body. My soundbaths are curated with harmonious sequences only.
What to expect: You’ll have a few minutes to settle in and create your cosy little nest. Once everyone is ready, you’ll be invited to lie down, (if thats comfortable for you) and I will then play a 60-minute therapeutic sound session. Once the Soundbath has concluded there will be a little time to gently come back around before you leave.
