ENTRIES NOW OPENA Bikepacking Race from Kathmandu to Namche Bazaar
The Everest Expedition Route Bikepacking Race is an unsupported, single-stage cycling race through the Himalayan foothills loosely following the route of early Everest expeditions from the Nepalese capital, Kathmandu to Namche Bazar village, situated in the Khumbu valley at 3,440m and the gateway to the high Himalaya’s.
• Riders have 5 full days to ride the approximately 400km route, with mandatory checkpoints to visit along the route and forced night time rest stops for riders safety and well-being.
• There is some hike-a- bike, tricky descents and of course plenty of hills.
WHEN: Sunday 8th September to Friday 13th September 2024
WHERE: Kathmandu to Namche Bazar
WHO: Racers can ride solo, as a pair or in a team of 4
DISTANCE: 400 km approx.
END: Namche Bazar on the evening of September 13th 2024
COST: US $599 (USD $100 initial payment secures entry)(
