Brighton Ballet Theater (BBT) will showcase excerpts from the original ballet Nutcracker created especially for a young audience including the Soldiers' Dance Snow Fairies' Dance Doll Dance French Variation Chinese Slavic Spanish and Arabian dances as well as well-known ballet variations and character dances performed by BBT junior division.
These performances are part of Brighton Ballet Theater's broader mission to educate children of all ages about Classical ballet and folk dance. The shows at BBT are educational and entertaining making them a perfect fit for young children. As highlighted in a New York Times article (June 2003) BBT has consistently attracted world-class performers with experience working with young audiences.
Events for Youth & Families programs are made possible through generous support from the Estate of Pearl S. Reuillard in memory of her parents Yetta and Louis Schwartz.
