About this Event

Marie Bostwick is a New York Times and USA Today bestselling author of more than twenty novels of contemporary and historical fiction. Her debut novel Fields of Gold was a finalist for the prestigious Oklahoma Book Award, and her second novel River’s Edge was an alternate selection of the Literary Guild.

Her novellas A High-Kicking Christmas and The Presents of Angels appeared in bestselling holiday anthologies, while her novels The Second Sister, Between Heaven and Texas, and The Book Club for Troublesome Women became USA Today bestsellers. A film adaptation of The Second Sister, titled “Christmas Everlasting,” debuted as a Hallmark Hall of Fame movie starring Patti LaBelle.

Marie’s work has been translated into fourteen languages and featured in Reader’s Digest Select Editions. Her novel A Thread of Truth was named an Indie Next Notable Book by the Independent Booksellers Association.

Her latest novel, The Book Club for Troublesome Women (Harper Muse, April 22, 2025), was a USA Today and Southern Independent Booksellers Alliance bestseller and selected by major national book clubs including AARP Girlfriends Book Club, Gloss Book Club, and Brenda Novak’s Book Club. It also appeared on multiple “Most Anticipated” lists, including BookBub’s Best Historical Fiction of 2025.

In addition to fiction, Marie writes the lifestyle blog Fiercely Marie, encouraging readers to “live every minute and love every moment.”

Marie lives in Washington state with her husband and their Cavalier King Charles spaniel. When she’s not writing, she enjoys reading, cooking, fiber arts, and traveling to speak at bookstores, libraries, and community events nationwide.
