Join us for a special and intimate gathering at Helen Smith & Jeff McEown’s residence as we come together to make a transformative difference in the lives of at-risk youth. This exclusive event is dedicated to raising essential funds to ensure financial stability of two homes that provide safe and supportive home environments for the youth at Threshold Housing.

We are reaching a critical moment for two important homes that need your support. We are on the verge of finalizing the purchase of Threshold House, with just $189,000 remaining to complete the purchase. Additionally, there is an outstanding mortgage of $350,000 on Shelbourne House. Your support can make a significant difference in helping us reach these goals.

Helping Threshold Housing become debt-free is a strategic goal as it helps the organization re-distribute these funds into further expanding housing for vulnerable youth in our community. Threshold Housing has a waitlist of more than 100 youth.

The annual costs of supports (including health care, housing, emergency services) of chronic homelessness is $134,642 per person.

At Threshold, the cost per youth per year to house is $35,00-$44,283, this includes wraparound supports, in-house counselling, case management, and family and natural supports.

Becoming debt-free, Threshold could re-allocate $40,000 per year towards expansion of youth housing and/or to providing program services.

Threshold Housing is focused on preventing adult homelessness by providing safe housing, support services, and community to at-risk youth.

The goal of the event is to raise at least $50,000, with hopes of surpassing this amount, to help pay down the remaining mortgages on Threshold House and Shelbourne House.

While attendance is complimentary, we kindly ask that you consider making a contribution to support the longevity of our two homes. We are hoping for donations of $500 or more from attendees of this event. Your support will significantly advance our mission to offer safe housing, support services, and community to at-risk youth.

Donations will accepted via cheque, electronically at the event, as well as online.

All cheques can be made to Threshold Housing Society. All donations will be issued a tax reciept.
