About this Event
From the many tasks we’re given to the different balls we find ourselves juggling, we’re all managing a lot which can leave us feeling exhausted and disconnected.
Disconnected from our family
Disconnected from our friends.
And even disconnected from ourselves.
If you can relate, let this be an invitation for you to join Charnae Sanders, founder of and certified breathwork facilitator for a restorative guided breathwork experience to help bring you back home to yourself on Thursday, April 2nd from 6:00-7:30pm at The City of Southfield Parks & Recreation Building.
This breathwork experience was created for the woman who is tired of feeling like she has to be "on" all the time and needs space to catch her breath.
This is a Moment for You To:
- Retreat inward and silence the external noise and distractions
- Reflect and sit with everything our bodies have been holding
- Release the tension, urgency and what feels heavy
- Reconnect to yourself and listen to what your body has been whispering
This is your moment to show up for yourself unapologetically while using breathwork as an anchor to slowly bring you back home to yourself.
What to Expect:
- Space to pause and reconnect with yourself through your breath
- A brief introduction to breathwork
- A 40-minute guided breathwork meditation to calm the nervous system
- Gentle prompts that encourage self-discovery and reflection
- A mini-reflection where you will be invited to reflect on how this experience was for you
- A supportive atmosphere and welcoming environment
In a world that tells us to rush and move at the speed of urgency, this is your invitation to resist and ground yourself in a SLOWER way of being.
What to Bring:
- A yoga mat – please note, yoga mats will also be available for purchase
- A blanket for extra comfort
- Water Bottle
- Journal/notebook and pen (optional)
- An open mind and open heart
You will leave lighter, softer, and more relaxed with a simple breathwork practice you can always return to when you’re feeling a sense of disconnection.

The event is a part of our Bloom at a SLOWER Pace Spring Wellness Series. A curation of six gentle wellness gatherings designed to support women in slowing down and tending to their holistic well-being with intention while navigating the pressures and demands of everyday life. Because even though “life be lifing,” we don’t have to let that rob us from the opportunity to flourish this season.
Sliding Scale Pricing:
To help make this gathering accessible to more members of our community, this event is offered using a community sliding scale. A sliding scale allows participants to choose a ticket price that best reflects their current financial capacity. Slower Pace Embrace utilizes this approach to support with providing equitable access to our services. We invite you to choose the rate that meets you where you are and feels right, doable and accessible to you in this moment.
If you are able to select the Pay It Forward Ticket, your contribution helps make it possible for others in our community to attend who may need additional financial support. Choosing this option is a meaningful way to support the accessibility and sustainability of these gatherings.
If your resources are more limited, you are warmly invited to select one of the lower-priced options. Each ticket offers the same experience, and we’re grateful to welcome you into this shared space of care, reflection and connection.
These gatherings are rooted in the belief that wellness and care should be accessible to everyone. While this event is offered on a community sliding scale, no one will be turned away for lack of funds. If the ticket prices still feel out of reach for you at this time, please feel welcome to reach out. If this applies to you, feel free to reach out to [email protected] and we’ll do our best to support your participation.
Space for this gathering is intentionally limited to create a more intimate experience. Reserve your spot and join us for this meaningful pause.
