About this Event
This is a FREE EVENT, as we want any of our members who wish, to be able to join us for this social get-together. However, donations towards the cost of the venue and the refreshments would be much appreciated. We would also ask that people wishing to attend PLEASE BOOK TICKETS NOW, as we need to advise the venue of numbers for the catering.
The social will take place in the Sixth Form Unit at Truro School, and the afternoon will include two talks, plus light refreshements and socialising. The first talk will be from Peter Corr, joint-founder of March For Rejoin and the organiser of the National Rejoin Marches in London. This will be followed by a talk by Caroline Hager, a CfE committee member who spent many years working for the European Commission in Brussels. There will be time after each talk for a short Q&A, and then an open forum, if people have other subjects that they would like to raise for discussion in the group. The remainder of the afternoon will be spent socialising and meeting fellow members, while indulging in the light refreshments provided.
The refreshments will consist of tea, coffee and soft drinks, plus an assortment of homemade cakes provided by the committee members. ( Further contributions from those attending would be very welcome.)
Our Europe Day Social last year was a very successful and enjoyable event, and we're hoping that this one will be even better.

We will be joining Peter for a training walk for their ramble, starting at Marazion, on Sunday 10 May at 11.00 am - come and join us! They will be walking to Mousehole via Penzance, but you can join and leave at any point along the route. See separate event:
