Who will play in the Euro 2024 finals

The finalists of the tournament will be determined by the results of two semi-finals which will be held on 9 and 10 July. The first game will take place in Munich at the Allianz Arena and the second in Dortmund at the Westfalenstadion. The two winners will battle it out for the championship of Europe's premier football tournament while the losing teams will take bronze. The last time the bronze medal game was played was in 1980. Tickets for the European Championship final will be sold in five categories: fans first category 3 2 1 and prime seats.

The final match will be played according to the traditional UEFA regulations. The main time of the game will be 90 minutes i.e. two halves of 45 minutes each. If no winner can be found during the main game time an extra time will be scheduled - two halves of 15 minutes each. If the game remains tied during the total 120-minute time a penalty shootout will determine the winner's name. Each team can make 5 substitutions in regulation time and 1 more in extra time.

The winner will receive the main trophy of the tournament the Henri Delon Trophy. It was established in 1960 and named after the first UEFA general secretary who proposed organising a European football championship every four years. The cup is made of silver in the form of a large vessel similar to an amphora. The first team to win the Henri Delon Cup was the USSR national team in 1960 and today the current holder of this honourable trophy is the Italian national team.

Where the Euro 2024 final will be held

As we have already said the Olympic Stadium in the German capital will host the main match of the tournament. This is the home arena of football club Hertha and the German national team. It was built in 1936 for the Olympic Games. It has undergone extensive renovations twice in 1974 and 2006 and both for the World Cups.

It can accommodate 74064 spectators at a time but even with such an impressive figure for this match its stands will be packed to the brim so it is better to think about buying tickets for the game in advance.
