About this Event

Join Kenneth Ginlack, LCSW, CSAC, ICS for a practical and engaging training on Ethics and Professional Boundaries in Substance Use Disorder Counseling. This 4-hour hybrid training is designed for professionals working in substance use disorder treatment who want to strengthen their ethical decision making and professional practice.

Participants will explore real-world ethical dilemmas that counselors face in treatment settings and learn practical strategies for maintaining professional boundaries, protecting client confidentiality, and responding appropriately to complex situations.

This training is interactive and discussion-based, allowing participants to apply ethical principles to realistic case scenarios commonly encountered in clinical practice.




What Participants Will Learn

Understanding ethical principles in substance use disorder counseling
Maintaining professional boundaries and avoiding dual relationships
Confidentiality requirements, including HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2
Ethical decision making in complex clinical situations
Responding to real-world ethical dilemmas in treatment settings



Continuing Education

Participants who complete the training will receive a Certificate of Completion for 4 Continuing Education Hours.

This training meets continuing education requirements for Wisconsin SAC-IT, SAC, CSAC, and ICS credentials.

Hybrid training
Attend in person in Milwaukee or virtually via Zoom
