ETHGlobal returns to New York for 36 hours of hacking on June 12–14, 2026 at the Metropolitan Pavilion (125 W 18th St). The hackathon brings together 500+ developers from around the world to build onchain applications, compete for $225,000+ in prizes, and connect with leading teams in the Ethereum ecosystem. Happening during DeveloperWeek New York (after NY Tech Week!)
What's new: the Continuity Track
For the first time in ETHGlobal history, builders are not required to start from an empty repo. The Continuity Track recognizes that the most interesting work onchain is sustained, ongoing software with real users, not just 36-hour demos.
Three paths to choose from:
- Classic / From Scratch — git init Friday night, ship by Sunday.
- Extend Open Source — bring a repo you already maintain and ship a new feature.
- Ship a Feature — build a new feature on top of an existing private product and release it as open source.
Team size of 1–5. Up to 3 sponsor SDKs per project.
Sponsors and prize pool ($225,000+)
Google Cloud, ENS, Sui, World, Arc, Hedera, LI.FI, Uniswap Foundation, Chainlink, Ledger, Dynamic, Privy, Unlink, and Canton Network.
