Ethan Folkes is a musician working in the tradition of American folk music. Influenced by artists like Woody Guthrie, Pete Seeger, and Hank Williams, his music draws from old time records, lesser known songs, and original writing grounded in the same traditions.
After spending years playing in punk bands in Seattle, he stepped away from music for a time before returning with a stronger focus on folk music and storytelling. That shift brought him back to writing and performing songs in a more direct and honest way.
Since moving back to Eau Claire, Wisconsin in 2025, he has become a regular presence at local open mics, earning strong support from fellow musicians and listeners. His songs reflect movement, work, and loss, shaped by time spent traveling and a growing connection to land and community.

Buy in advance, and pay no ticket fees! The Plus and bands are absorbing your ticket fees.
All advanced tickets are will-call, e-ticket, or print-at-home. No physical tickets will be delivered for the performance. When you buy in advance, your name will appear on a list at the door to assure your entry.
Online sales close at 6pm the day of the show. If you missed the window for online sales, just arrive to pay at the door. There are no extra fees.
The Plus and artists request the space is treated as a "listening room" - please keep table talk to a minimum and at a volume that stays at the table. Please use the bar main room or outdoor patio for any louder conversations.
There is a $10 suggested donation for this show. 100% of all money goes to the artists on the show. The artists appreciate you- and just know - no one will be turned away for a lack of funds.
