Etching 102 (Aquatint)

Learn the basics of copper plate color etching! This will be a continuation of line etching, but now creating values with aquatint. IF you didn't take the previous class, do not worry, we will do the whole process from beginning to end once again. Students will learn the process and techniques for plate preparation, image transfer, complex ground application, and etching with ferric chloride. We'll also cover printing using wiping and edition.
