The Association Iași.Travel organizes Free Walking Tours in Iași in English, lasting approximately 2 hours.🕒 𝐖𝐡𝐞𝐧: Saturdays at 10 AM (year-round) and Tuesdays at 6 PM (April–October only).
📍 𝐌𝐞𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐩𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐭: Piața Unirii (Union Square), in front of the statue of Alexandru Ioan Cuza, founder of modern Romania.
🏁 Ending point: Palace of Culture and the Palas ensemble.
👥 𝐆𝐮𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐬: The tours are led by volunteers — some certified tour guides, most of them students and graduates of Alexandru Ioan Cuza University of Iași, with a strong academic insight and passion for geography, architecture, history.
🚶 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐭: The walking tour includes an introduction to 10 iconic sites in the historic center of Iași, plus recommendations for your stay (where to eat, drink, and go out), visiting hours for attractions, and other useful tips. Highlights: Union Square, Miron Costin Square, National Theater & Opera, Metropolitan Cathedral of Moldavia, Roman Catholic Diocese, Three Hierarchs Monastery, Palace of Culture.
💰 𝐏𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐞: This is a tip-based activity, and your voluntary contribution at the end of the tour is welcome. 🙏 Please click “participate” if you plan to join.
👨👩👧 𝐆𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐩 𝐬𝐢𝐳𝐞: Usually 5–10 people, and you will meet wonderful guests and travelers during the tour.
