Come join the Baroness Celestria and Baron Gavin in celebrating Eskalya’s Pi Day! The event will take place on Saturday 3/14 at Jewel Lake Parish in Anchorage.
Activities will include a pie baking contest (divided into Sweet and Savory categories) to be judged by the Baroness, heavy armor fighting, rapier fighting, and court. The fighting matches will have a unique Pi Day twist - each fighter will have a pie plush that they will be tasked with protecting from their opponent. The winners of the matches will be those tactful enough to strike or dislodge their opponent’s pie whilst protecting their own from harm.
The overall winners of the Sweet pies category, the Savory pies category, the heavy armor fighting, and the rapier fighting will all receive a special prize token!
Feast will be a potluck style.
Here is the general schedule for the day (subject to change):
10am: Doors Open
10am-11am: Set up/early arrivals
11am-11:30am: General population arrivals
11:30am-12:30pm: Opening Court
1pm-1:45pm: Heavy Fighting
1:45pm-2:30pm: Rapier Fighting
3pm-4pm: Pie Contest & Judging & Eating Pies (wanting to do this after any fighting so the fighters who fast before fighting can join in on eating pies after the judging is done)
4pm-5pm: Closing Court
5pm-6pm: Break Down/Clean Up
6pm: Doors Close

From Wasilla, Eagle River and the North - take the Glenn HWY into Anchorage. Follow the Glenn as it turns into 5th Ave. Turn Left on L street/Minnesota Drive. Take the Raspberry Rd Exit. Turn Right on Raspberry Road. Turn Left on Jewel Lake Rd. Turn Left on Strawberry Road and immediately turn left into the Parish parking lot.
From Kenai and the South - Take the Seward HWY into Anchorage. Take the O’Mally Rd/Walter J Hickel PKWY exit. Turn Left onto Walter J Hickel Pkwy. Take the Raspberry Road Exit. Turn Left onto Raspberry Road. Turn left onto Jewel Lake R. Turn Left onto Strawberry Road and immediately turn left into the Parish parking lot.
