An Evening of Connection, Cinema, and Celebration

ESEA Creatives is organising our last event for the year and we'd love you to join us on Saturday December 6, celebrating and bringing together East and Southeast Asian creatives to close out the year 2025 – the very same year we started.

Schedule:

2:30 PM: ESEA Creatives x MilkTea Film Screening - "Preparation for Next Life"
Location: Cameo Cinema, Edinburgh
A powerful narrative exploring migration, identity, and resilience. Directed by Oscar nominee Bing Liu, the film follows a Uyghur woman's journey from military training to the underground kitchens of New York Chinatown, as she encounters a young American soldier returned from military service.

5:30 PM: End of Year Party
Location: Wu Asia Pacific, Edinburgh
After the film screening, we will head to Wu Asia Pacific for drinks, food and more celebrations. There will be delicious canapes and sushi provided by Wu Asia Pacific, community carol singing, karaoke and games (optional!) and of course, mince pies!
We would love to encourage people to bring along any instruments to the sing-a-long. Kazoos, ukuleles, triangle... you name it, we wanna hear it!

Tickets:

Tickets to the film screening and end of year party will need to be purchased separately. Attendees coming from the film screening will be offered a complimentary drink, courtesy of MilkTea Films.
