Hour 1 – Fundamentals & Foundation
Focus on posture, timing, weight transfer, and core traditional bachata basics. Emphasis on clean technique, grounding, and building a strong, authentic foundation for both leaders and followers.
Hour 2 – Footwork & Musicality
Explore traditional footwork patterns and variations while developing musical awareness. Learn how to identify rhythms, accents, and phrasing in bachata music and translate them into expressive, rhythm-driven movement.
Hour 3 – Partnerwork & Connection
Apply fundamentals and musicality to partnerwork. Focus on lead and follow clarity, connection, transitions, and maintaining traditional bachata flow while dancing with a partner.

Erick Ortiz is a traditional bachata instructor known for his deep respect for the roots and musicality of the dance. His teaching emphasizes authentic Dominican fundamentals, clean footwork, body control, and strong connection to the rhythm and instruments of bachata.
