About this Event
Join Us for a Historic Celebration and a Vision for the Future
2025 marks the 10th anniversary of Equity on the Mall (EOM) and the unveiling of a new biennial Policy Platform developed by our San Joaquin Valley Health Fund (SJVHF) Policy Committee, which is comprised of community organizations from across the San Joaquin Valley. This annual event will build on the momentum of past rallies and bring together community leaders, residents and statewide partners committed to advancing the health and well-being of children, families, and communities in our region. Together, we will continue to amplify our voices in support of a healthy, prosperous and equitable San Joaquin Valley.
The San Joaquin Valley is a region of great promise, yet it continues to face some of the state’s most pressing health and social challenges, including disproportionately high child poverty rates and lower educational outcomes. Many families still struggle with a lack of access to basic necessities like clean water, air, safe housing and quality education. But this anniversary marks more than just reflection—it’s a moment to push forward with the power of our collective vision and actions. Our network of community partners has pushed for progress over the last 10 years, and EOM 2025 is an opportunity to reaffirm our commitment to collaboration and advocacy, with residents, community leaders, elected officials and public agency leaders joining forces at local, state and federal levels to secure the investments and resources our region deserves.
In 2014, SJVHF was launched by The Center as a community-first partnership, uniting more than 170 nonprofit organizations and over 40 local, state and national foundations. Since then, our community partners have made significant strides in advancing health and racial equity in the San Joaquin Valley, but much work remains. The SJVHF Policy Platform is a bold step forward, outlining key priorities in Immigration, Health, Housing, Education, Environmental Justice, Land Use and Planning and the Digital Divide. As a roadmap for continued progress, it reflects the voices of our communities, elevating the needs and aspirations to the forefront of policy discussions.
Together, let’s celebrate this milestone, honor our collective progress and pave a bold path forward.
