What unfolds when meticulously crafted frequencies merge with divinely inspired architecture, creating a sacred vessel where infinite possibilities take shape?
Join us for EQUISONOS, a merging of immersive soundscapes and infinite architecture, where you become part of the meditative landscape of listening and comtemplation.
This event, located at the Space Portal X Gallery in the heart of downtown Los Angeles, will feature Sonic Devas sonic artists weaving drones, synthesizer textures, nature sounds, ethereal loops and live vocal transmissions in real time. We invite you to observe and and become a part of the landscape in a walking meditation around the gallery, sipping tea and participating in the various sound tool displays that will be placed throughout the space.
The audience is silent, allowing for the resonance of the artists to be in evolving play. You will have the option to find a spot to sit, lay down and go deeper into your listening experience in the second half of the journey. The musicians will be playing in and around the architectural sculpture works by celebrated artist Gregg Fleishman.
As we move from the hibernation of Winter and into the new life of Spring, we are positioning ourselves for this potent time of renewal. The balance of dark and light, yin and yang and the general theme of balance and equilibrium will permeate this journey into sonic listening. It's a time for new adventures!
A live continuous soundscape will be weaved by Sonic Devas artists , , & that will take you on a listening journey from winter into spring. Expect atmospheric live looping, nature environments, drones and synth textures, channeled vocal transmission and more sonic surprises.
The 'Infinite Architecture' of Gregg Fleishman
"Connecting the Earth and the Sky, with polyhedral architecture."
Researching methods of building geometrically since 1972 and designing furniture since 1975 Gregg Fleishman is still at work in LA. After gaining acceptance into the collection at MOMA New York in the early nineties, along with other museums with his furniture, he focused more on the structural work as it evolved to include 3D multi pod groupings of puzzle panel parts. Renowned for his work at Burning Man from 2011-2014 with three "Otic" series structures, the Man Base Pistil, and the "Temple of Whollyness". Gregg is also the only architect to build the temple without using any metal, using his custom nodal system.
