Welcome to Get Real, and our favourite program the Equine Empowerment Day!
This is an epic day of fun, connection, friends (both horse and human!) and learning more about yourself. This is a free event for any young people that play a carers role at home, or Young carers.
There are no other prerequisites for attending, so if you are ages 11 - 26 years old, and help look after a parent or sibling at home, come join us! Meet other young people, enjoy learning to ride and connect with horses and learn how to care for them, and yourself at the same time.
Our youth team are available to arrange transport from home for you from various locations across the Sunshine Coast and Logan in SEQ. So get in touch with our team or register on the link here, and add your address and request transport included. Alternatively you can meet at Tunnel Ridge Ranch in Landsbourough before 10am.
We start at 10.30am, we learn and connect with our horses, have riding lessons and some great adventure activites, enjoy some lunch and some chats with our youth team and other young carers. We do some mindset activities, and learn some life hacks to help us look after ourselves better. It's a super fun day, a nice small group and some beautiful horses.
