About this Event

Beginning April 10th, 2026, Sandy Booth Equine Assisted and Traditional Counseling Services, LLC is partnering again with Divine Interactions Equine Facilitated Wellness, LLC and Boeser Equine, LLC to offer another Equine Assisted Trauma Process Movement Group (EA-TPMG)! This 12-week group series held in a horse barn and outdoors offers a sensory rich supportive journey designed to help you understand your nervous system, yourself and your relationships more deeply.

Over the course of 12 weeks, we will follow a curriculum designed to:

• Learn about how trauma lives in the body and nervous system

• Engage in gentle movement to support building new pathways and make room for healing

• Learn about and practice healthy relationship skills with our equine friends

During our group sessions, participants will engage with horses using Trauma-Focused Equine-Assisted Psychotherapy principles from Natural Lifemanship, integrating science and relationship-based practices to foster healing and transferable healthy relationship building skills. All equine interactions are founded on the principles of clear communication, mindfulness, constant consent and mutual trust.

This group specifically aims for achieving transformational healing for survivors of interpersonal traumas (however any trauma survivor may find benefit). Based on personal experience as a survivor and then research as a therapist and yoga instructor, the developer of the original model designed a curriculum that follows five elements that she found integral in healing both the physiological and neuro-biological impacts of trauma. These elements include 1) Structure and Routine, 2) Movement, 3) Consistent Kindness, 4) Beneficial Social Connection and 5) Creativity. With this developer's permission, we have made adaptations to integrate observing and engaging with horses into the group experience. We have found that The Natural Lifemanship Institute core principles align with her curriculum and enriches the relational learning and healing experiences. Due to the nature of the group material, all group participants must be established with an individual therapist/counselor prior to starting the group. Referrals can be provided; weekly individual sessions are not required, however an individual therapeutic relationship with a treatment provider is required.

*Please email [email protected] with any questions, and to schedule your intake assessment. There is a brief, yet required intake process. All scheduling of intakes will close by March 27th.*

**This closed group requires a scheduled assessment for participation; walk-ins are not accepted. Commercial UPMC, Highmark/BCBS, and Optum/UBH insurances may be accepted for TPYG; EA-TPYG. Payment for services is the responsibility of the client and we cannot guarantee these insurance carriers will pay for services rendered. Self-pay options are available. Limited alternative funding may be available. To ensure increased accessibility, in-person (farm) and telehealth sessions are offered at the same rate.**

***Please note that there is an additional $15 fee per person per session to cover the costs of the equine specialist's services.***

****Please note that while pre-registration with Eventbrite is free, payment is due when services are rendered. If you wish to use insurance coverage to cover a portion of the services, you must discuss this during your intake assessment. Thank you!****
