Equine-assisted therapy is a form of therapeutic intervention that involves guided, non-riding interactions between a person and a horse to support emotional, cognitive, and physical well-being. Clients may spend time with the horse in a safe, structured space—often called the arena—engaging in activities such as observing, grooming, or leading. The horse’s natural sensitivity and responsiveness help clients build skills like trust, communication, self-awareness, and emotional regulation. It is often used to support individuals coping with anxiety, trauma, developmental challenges, or behavioral issues. You will be accompanied by Joel Blanchard (Equine Assisted Therapist, Winding Brook Stables) and Nicole Hébert (Psychologist, Ave Santé).
Available times: 9:00-10:00, 10:15-11:15 and 11:30-12:30.
Cost: 300$ per session (1 hour) - Receipts for insurance reimbursements can be given under psychology.
Participants: 1 or 2 individuals (couples, parent-child, friends)
