Join us for this panel discussion organized by Kouchibouguac National Park (KNP) and the New Brunswick Environmental Network (NBEN). How is our freshwater ecosystem doing? Our rivers and streams? What challenges are they facing? What are the possible solutions? How can I better manage the river bank on my property? How does the state of our waterways affect the mighty Atlantic Salmon? What efforts are being made to protect this important species?
David Mazerolle, Ecosystem Scientist at KNP, Kurt Samways, Parks Canada Research Chair in aquatic ecosystems at the University of New Brunswick, and Wendy Narvey, Director of Fisheries at Mi’gmawe’l Tplu’taqnn Inc., will address the subject and answer your questions. Daniel Gallant, Ecologist at KNP, will be the moderator.
Bilingual hybrid event with simultaneous translation available. Virtual or face-to-face participation in the Visitor Information Center Theater. In-person participants are invited to arrive early to discover our birch bark canoe exhibit, as well as our permanent exhibits.
