About this Event
For this Episode, by request, we hold a roundtable for experts, students, and interested observers to compare notes and share experiences. Together, we examine How To's for the painstaking yet rewarding quest to learn how to look at objects or materials, including manuscripts.
Cases in point come from detailed study of books (handwritten or printed), prints and drawings, textual transmission, numismatics, human anatomy, and other facets of the natural and human-made worlds. From personal experience, our panelists will report on how they learned to look, at various stages in their lives and studies, and what tips or methods they have found helpful in the process.
Join us and share your stories, as we compare notes and continue to learn.
