"Sydney Road Street Party will take place on Sunday 2 March 2025 and see Sydney Road Brunswick convert into a one-day festival, from Brunswick Road to Victoria Street. This annual event welcomes tens of thousands to enjoy live music, great food, roving performances, and a variety of stalls – celebrating the vibrant culture and diversity of Sydney Road and beyond."Let's set up an Open Stage outside my shop! It's the first shop on Sydney Road, just a stone's throw from Princes Park! I'm thinking DJs and musicians, flow arts, some market racks perhaps. Plus I'll host a chill lounge inside with drinks, snacks and shopping bargains!
This is all contingent upon getting approval from the city council, but if not, we can just use the back alleyway!!!
At this stage I'm just wrangling folks who might want to get on board with organising and/or performing. I'm shit at anything musically related, but can take care of hosting all other aspects of the gig. Let me know if you are interested and we can brainstorm ideas.
