Join EPIC (Emerging Professionals In Conservation) for an unforgettable weekend in the heart of the Texas Hill Country! This members-only EPIC event provides private access to the newly-protected John Knox Ranch.
John Knox Ranch is a 300-acre retreat and summer camp nestled in the heart of the Texas Hill Country, straddling the border between Hays and Comal counties. Explore conservation efforts, swim at Blue Hole, zipline on a ropes course, and camp along the creekโall while networking with like-minded professionals who share a passion for nature.
Whatโs Included:
- Access to John Knox Ranch
- A delicious dinner Saturday night and breakfast Sunday morning
- Swimming at Blue Hole
- Ziplining
Be prepared to bring:
- Camping supplies (tent, sleeping bag, camp chair, pillow, etc)
- Flashlight or headlamp
- Water & a water bottle
- Swimsuit & towel
- A mug or cup, plate, utensils for meals
Although the campout is free for members, you must REGISTER to ensure we have a spot for you, and to receive important information!

ABOUT JOHN KNOX RANCH:
Protected by a Hill Country Conservancy conservation easement on 255 acres, the ranch features nearly 2,000 feet of the Blanco River, a mile of Carpers Creek, and the spring-fed Blue Hole, home to rare species like the Blanco River Salamander. Its 200 acres of old-growth forest provide critical habitat for the endangered Golden-cheeked Warbler and play a vital role in replenishing the Edwards Aquifer, a key water source for Central Texas. Established in 1963, the ranch continues to host summer camps and retreats, fostering connections to nature and community.
John Knox Ranch is a ministry of Mission Presbytery with a mission to foster experiences of Christian community in the beauty of Godโs creation. John Knox Ranch hosts a yearly summer camp for ages 4-18 and offers year-round rentals for individuals or groups.
