The RTEC with Volunteers are offering a birding event for novice birders (kids), aged 10 through teen years. Parents and guardians are welcome. The event will be limited to 10 kids, please register with the Environmental Commission at [email protected]. *If you have binoculars, please bring them.*
Our goal is to spark a deeper appreciation for the natural world through birdwatching. Participants will learn to identify the birds we encounter, explore the habitats birds rely on in our region, and become familiar with the digital tools modern birders use.
The event will take place at Raritan Township's Micek Farm Park located at 86 Johanna Farms Road from 8-10am. Parking is limited, so carpooling is encouraged.
