Join us for an exciting and informative program that dives into the powerful concepts of environmental justice and explores how our environment directly impacts our health and wellbeing. We’ll kick things off with Abby Randall and Dr. Carrie Leslie, who will lead an engaging lecture on Environmental Justice 101, laying the groundwork for understanding this crucial issue. Then, Dr. Matthew Pearce, State Historian of the Oklahoma Historical Society, will take us on a compelling journey through the history of environmental injustices that have shaped Oklahoma City. The program will conclude with a dynamic panel of community leaders working on the front lines to advance environmental justice in our metro area. Moderator Amy Warne will guide the conversation with inspiring panelists: Lauren Nixon (OKC Beautiful), Denyvetta Davis (JFK Neighborhood / NE OKC Neighborhood Coalition), and Travis Andrews (Native Farming Solutions / Skyline). Don’t miss this opportunity to be a part of the conversation that’s shaping our future! The program will be taking place in the Musser learning lab inside the research library inside the Oklahoma History Center.
