Large data centres are here and more are planned. Learn about the environmental implications of data centres for your Toronto community at our free educational event with special guest speaker, Professor Mark Winfield.
Mark Winfield is a distinguished Professor for York University’s Faculty of Environmental and Urban Change. His research interests include sustainable energy, climate change, as well as environmental policy and law. He has published articles, book chapters, and reports on a wide range of climate change, environment , and energy law and policy topics. He has also acted as an advisor to the Environmental Commissioner of Ontario and federal Commissioner for Environment and Development.
The event will be held at North Toronto Memorial Community Centre (200 Eglinton Ave W) located near the Eglinton station of TTC's Line 1 (Yonge subway) and Line 5 (Eglinton LRT).
This event is organized by Green Neighbours Network of Toronto in collaboration with Eglinton-Lawrence Climate Action, Don Valley West for Environmental Action, and Green Neighbours 21.
