Entrepreneurship: A Pathway to Independence
3T Academy Weekend Workshop
What if you could design your own future? Join 3T Academy’s hands-on weekend workshop and team up to explore entrepreneurship as a real career path – no business degree required!
Led by the 3T Academy team and special guest Amy Williams, you’ll:
• Dive into the views and skills that drive successful entrepreneurs.
• Challenge common myths.
• Discover short-term training and “micro-credentials” that can launch your ideas into action.
And, of course, it wouldn’t be 3T Academy without time to socialize, have fun, and build a community of peer support!

About the Facilitator
Holly Edwards, a dedicated advocate for student success, has spent over two decades in higher education. Her passion is helping students find their strengths, build confidence, and crush their goals! She works with students of all ages, especially those facing extra hurdles, particularly: students with disabilities; people who’ve been through trauma; and those dealing with poverty.
Holly has spent the last two years working partnering with DSB Pre-ETS staff to develop and facilitate the 3T Academy and promote post-secondary success for young people. She also works at the DSB Training Center providing internship and career readiness workshops and one-on-one training.

Special Guest
Amy Williams, founder of Self Employment Consulting, overcame a spinal injury while supporting herself and her three children through entrepreneurship. This experience, along with a background as a loan officer and founder of seven companies of her own, inspired her to help others with disabilities.
Amy works with vocational rehabilitation agencies in eight states, providing self-employment services. She consults globally, working with diverse youth and adult clients with all types of disabilities in their businesses. She facilitated youth entrepreneurship tournaments; volunteered teaching business basics to students with disabilities; and been a “shark” for youth pitching their business ideas.

WHO
This workshop is perfect for students who are Blind, Deaf-Blind, or Low Vision, between ages 16 and 22, and active participants in DSB VR or Pre-ETS Services.

COST
FREE for DSB VR or Pre-ETS Services participants.
