Guest speaker, Melissa Snyder, from the Community Loan Fund will speak a nonprofit community development financial institution that serves the Capital Region of New York State, along with other surrounding counties. She will describe their entrepreneurial resources of the organization and the differences of the funding sources available to small companies.

About the speaker

Melissa Snyder joined the Community Loan Fund of the Capital Region in January 2024 as their Development Coordinator and is happy to connect with new and preexisting investors and donors with positive energy and enthusiasm.

She is proud to complete outreach to bring awareness to the Loan Fund’s many services and to be a part of an organization that creates opportunities for entrepreneurs and nonprofit organizations to achieve their goals and thrive. A native of Colonie and a 2007 graduate from The College of Saint Rose with a BA in Public Communications, she is passionate about using her people, communications and organizational skills to make a positive impact on our immediate community.

She has a background in media sales and worked previously in the development and community relations office of another local nonprofit. She resides with her husband and two cats in Coeymans and in her downtime, this bargain shopper enjoys researching and shopping for the best couponing/sales deals for the week at our local stores.

Denise Horan is the founder and principal of Integrated Management & Sales Consulting, which provides solutions to help organizations grow revenues, find new marketing opportunities, and develop effective sales and management leaders. Denise spends her time coaching entrepreneurs, training sales leaders, and teaching business development skills to attorneys and other non-sales professionals.

Most recently, she has launched her first book, Stories From The Sales Field, a collection of more than 60 interviews from great sales performers. The book is available at www.denisehoran.com and on Amazon. Denise is the founder of the Sales Performer’s Club and the facilitator of The Circle Leadership Group.

Michael Roach

Michael Roach is an American Marketing Association (AMA) member and Professional Certified Marketer (PCM). In addition to running his own creative/marketing firm, Michael Roach Creative, he is a past president of the AMA New York Capital Region chapter.

Michael thrives in fast-paced, creative environments and enjoys speaking with audiences about marketing, design, business, and technology.
