Artists who live, work or study in the Bay of Plenty are invited to enter the 2026 Rotorua Museum Art Awards together with students who study away from their Bay of Plenty home base. All genres welcome, excluding digital/moving image.
Prize pool of $18,000 for the finalists:
$15,000 Rotorua Museum Supreme Award
$1,000 Lockwood Youth Award$1,000 Watts & Hughes Innovation Award
$1,000 Coombes Johnston BMW Peoples Choice Award
and an additiona
l$1,000 for the Lockwood Salon des Refusés People's Choice Award
