However, the pressure and pace of modern living often creates barriers which cause us to feel stuck, trapped and frustrated. Feeling restricted in these ways triggers unhealthy and destructive behaviours. At first these behaviours are manageable, but left unchecked they can have a serious impact on our lives and those around us.
Ensō is a creative experience designed to gently dissolve the barriers we experience.
Creativity means to push open the heavy, groaning doorway to who you are.

FEATURES
We begin with the Nicharen Daishonin Buddhism chant:
Nam Myoho Renge Kyo
This acknowledges a commitment to the Lotus Sutra and the recognition that all life posesses Buddhahood.
BREATH WORK
Some simple breathing exersises to relax and energise our minds and bodies.
MOVEMENT
Using principles from the Japanese form: Taikliken.
THE RIVER
A guided meditation using the cycle of a river to engage us with the nature of Ensō
BRUSH & INK
We will use traditional materials to create Ensō.
REFLECTION
There will be time to discuss and reflrect on what ew have experienced and learned. We want you to take away practical tools to bring peace, connection and creative freedom to your everyday lives.

Driftwood Studio embraces the four stages of creative achievement: Being, Doing, Becoming & Belonging.

In doing so you will become an artist find belonging with your fellow artists in this space.
You will be provided with a frame to frame your favourite piece of work. This dframed art work will be a living record of the experience and learning you have engaged with.
