About this Event

Are you passionate about connecting with others to share knowledge about our local environment—especially the importance of freshwater ecosystems? Here’s your chance to make a difference!

Join the Eno River Association team to explore how you can become an Eno Education Volunteer and help inspire others to appreciate how amazing the Eno River truly is. During this session, we’ll cover the essentials of volunteering at community events, assisting or leading hikes, and supporting hands-on educational activities—like discovering the tiny aquatic creatures that call the river home.

Our goal is to help you feel confident, prepared, and excited to represent the Eno River Association at educational programs and events throughout the year.

Recommended ages: 16+

Directions: This training session will take place at the Eno River State Park Visitor Center (pictured below). The address is 6131 Cole Mill Road, Durham 27705.

Accessibility Info: For most of this session, we will be inside the visitor center education room. There is an ADA-accessible ramp available leading to the classroom. Toward the end of the training, we will go on a short hike on natural terrain with some elevation changes. Restrooms are available on site.
