Hi, this is Vanessa, your ENLIGHTENMENT salon host.
I don’t know about you, but the recent spate of headlines about tariffs is making me scared and confused. Should I go out and buy in bulk now because prices will skyrocket? Should I do nothing because Trump will change his mind again next week and things will revert? Are tariffs going to wreak short-term havoc but bring back more jobs and rebuild American manufacturing power in the long run? And in between all that, what will be the price of eggs? And the balance in my retirement account?
I’ve invited , whose research is on the international economy, trade, exchange rates and financial crises, to join us. He’ll give us some explainers, forecasts and opinions about the Trump Administration’s latest moves on tariffs, so bring your questions.
