Start off the week by letting loose and having fun with English Language Improv! Open for all adults, with or without a theatre background. The workshop takes place in our Blackbox at Christies Gate 18 and is lead by Ben Manton. See you there!
More info about the workshop:
Improvised theatre is about expressing yourself with others without a script. As a group we will bring stories and relationships together spontaneously. The workshops are built of primarily exercises that give confidence in expressing ourselves in front of others and how to develop relationships on stage.
While improvised theatre can be of any genre, our focus will on comedic theatre and we’ll try to have as much fun as possible doing it.
English Improv is a weekly workshop that takes place every Monday at 6-8 pm in Speilsalen at Det Akademiske Kvarter.
There is no right way of doing improv, and everyone will find their own style, nonetheless there are some key attributes to strengthen including listening to the others on stage and supporting the ideas your stage partners make. The workshops are open to all adults (whether you are affiliated to the university or not) and will be taught in English. Norwegian workshops are also available but on a different day! Improv is equally for those with and without a theatre background.
