About this Event
This session is for the volunteers and staff of Poole Community Exchange and their partner organisations. However, anyone is welcome to join us.
This 2-hour interactive session will cover:
- What the causes are of fuel poverty and how it affects people
- How to indentify people at risk of fuel poverty - and how to have difficult conversations
- How to signpost and refer people to help with income maximization and finding help
- Information on giving energy advice and other information - participants will be emailed an information pack with links and resources
The session is ideal if you work with vulnerable people in any capacity. This will increase your ability to help them. You may be the only person in a position to identify that someone is facing problems with fuel poverty or their accomodation and this is what to do.
This session is also being offered on Wednesday February 25th 2026 - you can book that session here
The Energy Outreach Project is being delivered in partnership between Dorset Community Action and Citizens Advice East Dorset & Purbeck.
This session will be delivered by Caro Hart, Community Training Consultant at Dorset Community Action. DCA provides a range of services and support Dorset-wide. Please see Dorset Community Action for details.
