About this Event
ENERGY 2050 — An Energy Transition Strategy Simulation
Lead the energy transition to 2050. Compete, decide, and learn.
ENERGY 2050 is a scenario-based strategy simulation where participants act as the executive leadership team of an energy company from today to 2050. Teams compete while navigating shifting markets, technologies, climate constraints, and public expectations. We promise a unique, highly engaging session!
In teams of 3–6, participants will for approximately 3 hours:
- Make real strategic choices under uncertainty Respond to changing prices, policies, and technology pathways.
- Invest across energy systems Allocate capital to wind, solar, hydro, oil & gas, hydrogen, and batteries (BESS).
- See system-wide consequences Experience how decisions ripple across climate, markets, and society.
- Balance multiple goals Financial performance, CO₂ reduction, energy security, and societal impact.
The simulation runs continuously toward 2050, with new events and constraints emerging along the way. Energy 2050 has been used for over a decade by leading energy companies for strategy, leadership, and cross-disciplinary learning.
Register as a team or individually. There are several sessions during the Energy Transition Week.
