About this Event

Join Us at Energize America 2030!

You are invited to participate in a closed-door convening focused on turning policy discussion into actionable state outcomes.

We are pleased to announce two featured speakers for the Policy Lab:

Day 1: Steve DelBianco, President and CEO, NetChoice
Day 2: Carl Coe, Chief of Staff, U.S. Department of Energy

Hosted by Rep. Jake Johnson, Rep. Jeff Zenger, the Rainey Center for Public Policy, and CO2EFFICIENT, this session will bring together lawmakers, state and local decision makers, industry leaders, energy stakeholders, and policy experts to address the practical questions shaping North Carolina’s ability to support data center growth while protecting ratepayers, strengthening grid reliability, and advancing economic development.

This is not a public panel or networking reception. It is a working session designed to give participants direct access to policymakers and peer decision makers, surface the real barriers to infrastructure deployment, and help shape the policy recommendations that can move forward in North Carolina.

Participants will have the opportunity to:

  • Engage directly with lawmakers and key state decision makers
  • Help identify actionable policy solutions on energy, permitting, siting, grid readiness, and economic development
  • Share industry perspectives in a candid, off-the-record setting
  • Contribute to a state-specific policy roadmap that can inform legislative and administrative action
  • Build relationships with leaders working at the center of North Carolina’s data center and energy future

The agenda will focus on the conditions North Carolina needs to compete for next-generation infrastructure investment while ensuring growth is responsible, affordable, and aligned with the state’s long-term economic and energy priorities.
