Join the Old Monterey Foundation for a free screening of Enduring Democracy: The Monterey Petition, followed by a panel discussion and Q&A with Japanese American Citizen League, (JACL) National President Larry Oda, historian Tim Thomas, and MPUSD Board Member Jeff Uchida. Learn about the Japanese American families who returned to Monterey County after World War II incarceration — and the local residents in Monterey who stood against prejudice and welcomed them home. A wine and cheese reception follows the lecture.
