About this Event
Taking place during the public consultation on the Draft Framework for Race Relations, this event provides an opportunity to hear evidence, share experiences, and contribute to the wider conversation on what meaningful change should look like. The Equality Commission will also present its own recommendations for ending racism and advancing equality.
Bringing together voices from across communities, public life and civil society, the conference will explore:
- The lived experience and impact of racism on individuals, families and communities
- How institutions and organisations are responding to racism, including addressing hate crime, prejudice and inequality
- The current policy landscape, including the Draft Framework for Race Relations, and what is needed to strengthen delivery, accountability and impact
- The role of political leadership and decision-makers in driving progress
This event offers a valuable opportunity to engage, reflect and help shape the future direction of advancing racial equality in Northern Ireland.
