2022 was an incredible year for the Texas Triffid Ranch, as bumpy a trip as it was, and now it's time to send it off. At the same time, with Dallas being full of over-the-top New Year's Eve events, it's time for a little gentle quiet before hitting 2023. Dallas's pretty much only carnivorous plant gallery celebrates New Year's Eve by offering an appetizer open house from noon to 6:00 pm on December 31, including debuts of several new unique carnivorous plant enclosures. No Venus flytraps (they're dormant for the winter, and won't be awake until April), but the Triffid Ranch is full of enclosures loaded with other carnivorous plants, including Asian pitcher plants (Nepenthes), South American pitcher plants (Heliamphora), Australian pitcher plants (Cephalotus), sundews (Drosera), butterworts(Pinguicula), and bladderworts (Utricularia), available for viewing and purchase.
